Day Fifteen: In Which Not Much Happens

Sometimes, I really want to go up to a guy with anime hair and say, “Hey, this is going to sound weird, random, and probably kind of creepy, but your hair is awesome so I was wondering if I could take a picture with you to show my friends your anime hair. Although, come to think of it, you've probably got no idea what I just said, and that is probably for the best. Please carry on with your life.”
Although hopefully I wouldn't have to say the last part.
Today was truly a day off, so not much happened. I went to the store hoping to get some shopping done, and was shown to an electronics store. I began to get truly fascinated when I found a device for portable Wi-Fi. Portable Wi-Fi. Please take a moment to ponder the possibility.
Internet connection literally wherever you went. The idea is beautiful, but I suspect that reality would be a little less amazing. It would probably be expensive, (the Wi-Fi I mean, the device didn't cost much) and the connection would probably be crap. Plus I’m pretty sure it only works in Japan.
After that exciting discovery, I made another one when I found the show Supernatural in the shows section. I was so in awe I just pulled it off the shelf and stared at it for a moment, then I laughed and put it back. Ironically enough, I've had better luck so far finding translated versions of stuff I know from back home than actual manga or anime I know.
One of my final stops before heading back was the kimono shop. Okasan came with me, and we wound up in that place for over an hour. As soon as I looked at the prices, I knew it wasn't going to happen, but the lady who worked there seemed to be having a really great conversation with Okasan, so I kept wandering and petting things. Every once in a while she’d turn around to ask me a question and I’d jump, mishear her and say something that just confused us both.
For example:
Her: “So, you in Japan, how long?”
Me: “Canada!”
Her: *Blank stare*
Me: *Blank stare*

This unfortunately seemed to happen a fair bit. I shudder to think the impressions I’m creating on some people…
